Maranatha House of Prayer Internship Program

This program is designed to give you the tools necessary to learn the inside and out of ministry work. Everything that we do we do it for the Lord and we take our work very seriously: we aim to serve with excellence. Whichever type of program you are interested in (3 months or 6 months), we are confident that this will be a rewarding experience and a great opportunity for personal, spiritual, and professional growth. Internship Types Available 

Option 1: 3 months (focuses only on 1 ministry area. Ideal for applicants that know where their gifts are and where they want to serve)

Semesters for Option 1:

• Summer (June 1st - Sept 1st) 
• Fall (Sept 15th - Dec 15th) 
• Winter (Jan 20th - April 20th) 

Option 2: 6 months (focuses on all ministries and areas of the church. Ideal for applicants and that are still searching for their passion or applicants that want to expand to other ministry areas) 

Semesters for Option 2:

• Summer/Fall (June 1st - Dec 31st) 
• Winter/Spring (Jan 1st - July 1st) 

Ministries Involved in This Program:

• **Media Team (Digital media, production, Operations) - hands on learning and application of what is being learned as directed by mentor assigned
• Kids Ministry Team (assisting leaders as needed under careful observation)
• Guest Experience & Operations (involved in cleaning, serving food, greeting guests, organizing, fixing equipment if needed, etc) 
• General Administration - learning how the administration of the church is done from the level of organization, planning, communication styles, and management) 
• Finance Team - learning and observing. Assisting with easy tasks as directed by the mentor assigned. Learning how to create a budget and manage the finances of the church. Learning general financial practices and habits 

*An entire month will be dedicated to each ministry, except for the Media ministry (which will have a 2 month focus). 

Eligibility & Requirements 

This Internship Program is open to teenagers (13-18) and young adults (18-35) who currently reside in the United States. You will be required to fill out an application (link below) and submit it with your resume (you can speak to a staff member if you need help creating your resume). 

Transportation

You will be responsible for transportation to and from the church. You can also speak to a church member for a ride when needed. 

Housing

Housing options are not available. 

Expectations & Commitment 

You will be expected to be on time for all meetings, services, Bible studies and training sessions involved with this internship. You will be expected to commit 9-10 hours a week to this internship (that includes service hours and 3-4 hours outside of service days). 

Unexcused absences and lack of accountability will result in early termination of the program. Remember that time and resources are being invested in you, so we expect each applicant to take this program seriously. 

Communication 

You are expected to maintain proper and constant communication with your department leaders during the duration of the program.
